Following Waivin Flags Taxi's decision to offer an alternative shuttle service and the owners' committing to continue to operate a regular daily service between the two locations, Stubbs Island Whale Watching have suspended the Seasonal Shuttle Service they had been running as a pilot project between Port McNeill and Telegraph Cove to address the Transportation gap between the two communities with effect from July 18th 2017.

The original goal behind this shuttle service was to fill a transportation gap and assist visitors to the North Island in getting to Telegraph Cove from Port McNeill so they can enjoy all that this historic boardwalk community has to offer.  It was also to offer guests and staff staying in Telegraph Cove Resort  the opportunity to visit Port McNeill for supplies or provisions and the chance to explore the town and its attractions, cafes and restaurants or connect with the BC Ferries Service to Alert Bay and Sointula, the Mount Waddington Transit Service or the Tofino Bus.

We wish the team at Waivin Flags  every success and thank them for stepping up with an alternative shuttle service to bridge this identified gap with what they have assured us will be a regular service, which we hope will add a new link in the chain we had set out to create.  We recommend that you call their office on 250-230-7655 or 250-956-2355 to confirm departure and arrival times and to book your seat.

Thank you to our customers, partners in Port McNeill,  Telegraph Cove Resort and North Island Kayaks for working with us and helping to ensure this pilot project continues rolling.

Private Charters: Stubbs Island will to continue to arrange transportation directly with our tour operators and whale watching guests for groups of 10 or more passengers.  All enquiries should be made directly with our offices by calling 1 800 665 3066 or 1 250 928 3185 to discuss your group requirements.
